Rochefort 8

The Rochefort 8 is the big brother of last Friday's selection, the Rochefort 6. If the 6 is a Dubbel and the 10 is listed as a Quad, you'd expect the 8 to be a Tripel. But the 8 is darker both in color and flavor than your standard Tripel. I'm going to rate the 8 a bit above the the 6 because I like its richer, more caramely flavor.

Be careful with this beer. It might feel like you're curling up with a good book next to a roaring fire -- it packs a punch at 9.2% ABV. In other words, it might be tasting, but enjoy it in moderation.
